Nigerian model Olajumoke Orisaguna, famously known as Olajumoke Onibread, has opened up about her traumatic experience with domestic abuse.
In an emotional interview with City FM, Olajumoke alleged that her ex-husband, Sunday Orisaguna, subjected her to physical and emotional abuse during their relationship, which ended four years ago.
Olajumoke rose to fame in 2016 after accidentally walking into a photo shoot with British rapper Tinie Tempah, captured by TY Bello. However, she disappeared from the public eye, leaving many wondering about her whereabouts.
She revealed that the abuse began in Ire, Osun state, where they lived with his family, describing the environment as “hostile” due to her mother-in-law’s mistreatment.
After relocating to Lagos, Olajumoke started hawking bread before her chance encounter with TY Bello. However, Sunday joined her in Lagos, and the alleged abuse continued.
Olajumoke claimed that her career suffered after their separation, alleging that Sunday maligned her reputation and that of her supporters.
Olajumoke has returned to the spotlight as a radio presenter with her talk show ‘Kilon Shele’, focusing on her personal story, including her experiences with exploitative managers who took advantage of her lack of education.
