Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary Mbah Urges Nigerians To Stay United And Hopeful

Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, has called on Nigerians to remain optimistic and united in the face of current challenges, assuring that the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and citizens’ sacrifices would ultimately yield positive results if the nation stays the course.

In his message to Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 65th independence anniversary, Mbah expressed his disappointment that the anniversary may be low key but emphasized that it doesn’t diminish Nigeria’s significant strides as an independent nation.

Mbah congratulated citizens on reaching this “proud milestone” and encouraged them to renew their covenant to Nigeria, embracing the spirit of unity and optimism that has carried them this far. He expressed confidence that President Tinubu’s economic policies would ultimately bear fruit, despite the current difficulties. “We must remain optimistic and united, and I assure you that the sacrifices we are making today will yield positive results in the nearest future,” he said.

The governor highlighted the progress made in Enugu State under his leadership, including the transformation of 260 schools into Smart Green Schools, enhancing education for children. Additionally, 260 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres have been completed or are ongoing, improving access to modern healthcare for rural communities. “We have made significant progress in the areas of education, healthcare, transportation, and security,” Mbah said.

Mbah’s administration has also developed a modern transport system and infrastructure, facilitating convenient and affordable travel for residents. Furthermore, lives and property are well protected, creating a safe environment for citizens. The governor emphasized his administration’s commitment to an inclusive development model, ensuring that no one is left behind and that wealth is created and distributed for the benefit of all residents in Enugu State.

The governor’s message comes as Nigeria marks its 65th independence anniversary, a milestone that presents an opportunity for reflection on the country’s progress and challenges. Mbah urged Nigerians to stay hopeful and united, stressing that the country’s future is bright. “At 65, Nigeria has come of age, and I urge all Nigerians to stay hopeful and united as we look to the future,” he said.

As Nigeria celebrates its 65th independence anniversary, Mbah’s message serves as a call to action for citizens to remain committed to the country’s progress. With the right leadership and policies, Nigeria can overcome its current challenges and achieve greatness. “We have a bright future ahead of us, and I urge all Nigerians to stay committed to the progress of our dear nation,” Mbah added.
