NSCDC Chief Pledges To Rescue Abducted Kaduna Students And Teachers

In response to the recent abduction of over 280 students and teachers from Government Secondary School and LEA Primary School in Kuriga, Kaduna State, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has pledged its commitment to quickly rescue the victims.

NSCDC’s Commandant General, Ahmed Audi, reiterated this promise during his meeting with Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani.
The abduction, which occurred on March 8, 2024, in the Kuriga area of Chikun Local Government Area, sparked national outrage.

 

Expressing concern over the abduction, which occurred on March 8, 2024, in the Kuriga area of Chikun Local Government Area, Audi affirmed NSCDC’s determination to collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to secure the safe return of the abducted individuals and ensure that justice prevails.





 

“We are ready to work in collaboration with all relevant security agencies with full mechanisms and security apparatus put in place to see that the perpetrators of this heinous crime do not go scot-free,” Audi declared.

 

Governor Sani lauded the effective collaboration between NSCDC and other security entities, acknowledging the critical role played by all stakeholders in preventing criminal activities within Kaduna State.

 

“All critical stakeholders must play active roles to forestall criminalities in Kaduna State,” Governor Sani stated, noting the need for collective effort in combating such atrocities.

 

Audi stated the importance of community engagement in providing actionable intelligence to facilitate the rescue mission. He urged Kaduna State residents to work closely with security agencies to achieve the desired results.

 

“The NSCDC remains a key actor in the nation’s internal security and the lead agency in the Safe Schools Initiative,” Audi affirmed, stating NSCDC’s ongoing collaboration with the Nigerian Army, Police, and other stakeholders to expedite the safe return of the abducted students.
