Oleksandr Usyk Defeats Tyson Fury Again To Retain Heavyweight Titles.

Oleksandr Usyk has once again proved his dominance in the heavyweight division by defeating Tyson Fury on points in their highly anticipated rematch in Saudi Arabia. The Ukrainian retained his WBA (Super), WBC, and WBO titles with a unanimous decision at Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena.

In a close contest, the judges scored the fight 116-112 in favour of the 37-year-old champion. This victory extends Usyk’s professional record to 23 wins, maintaining his undefeated status and cementing his legacy as a generational great.

The fight saw Fury, 36, showcase some of his best work in the early rounds, delivering powerful and eye-catching shots. However, Usyk’s superior volume and precision ultimately made the difference. His astuteness and determination were key in overcoming Fury for the second time, following their initial clash in May, which Usyk won by split decision.

“He [Tyson Fury] is a great fighter, he is a great opponent. An unbelievable 24 rounds for my career. Thank you so much,” Usyk said in his post-fight interview.

Fury, a two-time world champion, now holds a record of 34 wins, one draw, and two losses—both inflicted by Usyk. Frustrated by the decision, Fury left the ring without speaking to the media but later claimed backstage that he had won the fight by “at least three rounds.”

The rematch also set the stage for future challenges. IBF world champion Daniel Dubois entered the ring after the fight, calling for his own rematch with Usyk.

As the heavyweight division continues to evolve, Usyk remains at its pinnacle, blending technical brilliance with an unyielding spirit that has solidified his place in boxing history.
