President Bola Tinubu has conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to Bassirou Diomaye Faye on his successful election as the President of the Republic of Senegal.
This announcement was made public through a statement issued by his special adviser on media and publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, on Wednesday, March 27th.
President Tinubu expressed his optimism regarding President-elect Faye’s capabilities, acknowledging his promising potential and commendable track record.
He extended his sincere wishes for success to Faye as he embarks on the significant responsibility of leading the people of Senegal.
Additionally, President Tinubu commended His Excellency, President Macky Sall, for overseeing an election process that has been widely lauded for its peaceful and transparent nature.

He emphasised that the success of the presidential election in Senegal, coupled with the recently conducted general election in Liberia, serves as a testament to the strong foundation of democracy in the region.
