President Tinubu Set To Address World Leaders At 80th UNGA

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to address the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on September 24, 2025.

He will be the 17th world leader to speak on Day 2 of the general debate. The UNGA’s theme this year is “Better Together: 80 Years and More for Peace, Development, and Human Rights”, highlighting the importance of global cooperation in addressing pressing challenges.

Tinubu will join 195 world leaders, including 98 heads of state, at the gathering. The assembly will feature key events such as a high-level conference on Palestine co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia, a meeting on non-communicable diseases, and a session marking the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons.

President Tinubu is currently on a 10-day vacation in France and the UK, where he recently met with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss cooperation between Nigeria and France.
