Rigorous Selection Process
According to Torty Njoku Kalu, Head of Protocol and Public Affairs, the promotions followed rigorous written examinations and oral interviews, which concluded on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the PSC Corporate Headquarters in Jabi, Abuja. The exercise was presided over by PSC Chairman DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (retd).
Senior Officers Elevated

AIG Mohammed Usman Gumel, previously Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Community Policing Project Department, Research and Planning, Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Abuja.

Seven Commissioners of Police elevated to Assistant Inspectors-General of Police.

Three Deputy Commissioners of Police promoted to the rank of Commissioners of Police.
