Renewed Hope: Seyi Law Makes A No U-Turn About Tinubu’s Administration

Comedian and actor Lawrence Oluwaseyitan Aletile, popularly known as Seyi Law, has reaffirmed his unwavering support for the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

In a statement shared via his social media handle on Sunday, Seyi Law encouraged fellow Nigerians to stand firmly behind Tinubu’s leadership, expressing optimism for positive change under his governance.

Drawing parallels to the biblical narrative of Moses leading his people through challenging times, Seyi Law underscored his preference for enduring difficulties under a visionary leader like Tinubu, rather than settling for temporary comforts that could jeopardise the nation’s future.

Despite facing criticism, particularly directed towards Tinubu, Seyi Law reiterated his commitment to steadfast support, while also advocating for constructive criticism as a means to foster sustained progress.

He stated, “I would rather stay with a Moses through the wilderness to Canaan than eat meat and drink wine in slavery in Egypt at the expense of my children’s future. While many Nigerians express their frustrations with the government and call for immediate gratification, it’s unfortunate that our government agencies are not effectively communicating their agenda, efforts, and actions.”

Seyi Law also addressed the issue of government accountability, particularly at the state level, calling out state governors for what he described as their lack of initiative in addressing critical issues such as transportation despite increased allocations.

He continued, “It is easy for any central government to appease the masses by reverting to full subsidy on fuel and exchange rates, but I would rather prioritise resetting, rebuilding, and securing our future than living in a momentary comfort that borrows from our future.”

Expressing hope for the implementation of people-driven policies in sectors such as agriculture, power, and health, Seyi Law pledged to continue offering constructive criticism while condemning any unworthy actions. He concluded by affirming his steadfast support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating, “To those still expressing dissent, if another election were held tomorrow, I would still cast my vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
