Deji Adeyanju, lawyer to embattled singer Speed Darlington, has reacted to his client’s continuous detention after spending over three weeks behind bars.
Speed Darlington was arrested and detained for allegedly defaming his colleague, Burna Boy.
Adeyanju took to social media to express his outrage, calling Burna Boy an oppressor and a typical clownish character for using the police to keep Speed Darlington behind bars. He noted that Speed Darlington didn’t commit any crime, and that he only insulted Burna Boy.
The lawyer criticized the Nigerian police, calling them one of the greatest problems of the nation. He emphasized that Speed Darlington’s detention is unjust and that Burna Boy is using his influence to oppress his client.
