Tinubu Condoles With Abba Moro Over Death Of Son And Grandson

President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep condolences to Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, following the tragic deaths of his son, Victor Moro, and grandson, Abba Moro Jr., within 48 hours.

The President described the losses as heartbreaking and prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved family.

In a statement released on Tuesday, President Tinubu urged the Moro family to find solace in the impactful lives of the departed children, noting that although their time on earth was short, it left a lasting positive influence on those around them. He prayed that God Almighty would receive their souls and grant the family peace during this difficult period.

Victor Moro had recently completed his studies in Turkey and returned to Nigeria to commence his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme. Tragically, he died in a fatal automobile accident along the Mararaba axis in Nasarawa State, just 24 hours after the burial of his 10-year-old nephew, Abba Moro Jr. The loss has plunged the family into deep mourning.

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State also extended his condolences to Senator Moro and his family, describing the deaths as painful and devastating. He urged the Moro family and the people of Benue South Senatorial District to accept the tragedy as the will of God and prayed for eternal rest for the departed souls.

Former Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, and Senate Minority Whip, Senator Osita Ngwu, also expressed their sorrow over the incident. Both leaders described the deaths as a double tragedy and prayed for divine comfort and strength for Senator Moro and his family to bear the irreplaceable loss.

The incident has drawn widespread sympathy from across the nation, with several political figures, friends, and associates offering condolences and support to Senator Moro and his family during this trying period.
