The President extended his heartfelt condolences to Maduagwu’s family, the management and staff of Arise News Television, and the entire Nigerian media fraternity. Tinubu assured Nigerians that his administration remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens and will continue to strengthen measures aimed at combating crime.

The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, described Maduagwu’s death as painful and unfortunate, while commiserating with the bereaved family. The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, assured a swift investigation to unravel the circumstances leading to Maduagwu’s death.

Tinubu directed security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure the perpetrators are apprehended and brought to justice without delay. “The President directs security and law enforcement agencies to quickly fish out the killers of the Arise News anchor and bring them to justice,” Onanuga said.
