President Bola Tinubu will address the nation on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 7 a.m. to commemorate Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day anniversary.

The address will be broadcast live on Television and other electronic media outlets. This significant event marks a milestone in the nation’s history, and the President’s address is eagerly anticipated by Nigerians.

The President’s address is expected to touch on the state of the nation, highlighting the policies of his administration and the progress made so far. Last year, Tinubu pleaded for “patience” amid reforms like fuel subsidy removal, which spiked living costs but laid groundwork for sustainable growth. The theme of the celebration, “Nigeria @ 65: All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation”, calls for collective action to support President Tinubu’s reform agenda.

The theme emphasizes the importance of unity and cooperation in driving the nation’s progress. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, announced the address and urged media outlets to join the nationwide network for the broadcast. “The President’s Independence Day broadcast is a significant event that requires widespread coverage,” Onanuga said.

The President’s address will be broadcast live, ensuring that Nigerians across the country can tune in and listen to the President’s message. This broadcast will enable citizens to stay informed about the nation’s progress and the President’s vision for the country’s future.

The address is expected to highlight the progress made by the Tinubu administration in various sectors, including the economy, infrastructure, and social welfare. The President’s Renewed Hope Agenda aims to build a better Nigeria, with improved infrastructure, economic stability, and growth.

As the nation prepares to celebrate its 65th Independence anniversary, the President’s address is expected to inspire hope and unity among Nigerians. The address will be a moment for reflection on the nation’s past achievements and challenges, as well as a call to action for a brighter future.
