U.S. Ambassador, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, in her last mission to Liberia, prioritized the empowerment of the nation’s youth and acknowledged the dedication of the Armed Forces.
Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield visited The Linda Thomas-Greenfield Preparatory School, situated on the Edward Beyan Kessely Military Barracks in Margibi County.
During this visit, she donated essential school supplies to children from both the Armed Forces of Liberia and neighboring communities who attend this institution.
Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield also engaged with the military community during her visit to the barracks.
In an effort to recognize and appreciate their contributions, she met with Liberian soldiers who had served as international peacekeepers as part of the UN’s peacekeeping mission in Mali. This interaction highlighted the shared commitment to global peace and stability.
In the capital city, Monrovia, the ambassador continued her outreach by convening with alumni of Liberia’s esteemed President’s Young Professionals Program.
This meeting served as a platform for insightful discussions on the experiences and achievements of these emerging leaders. Additionally, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield participated in meaningful exchanges with participants of U.S. exchange programs, reinforcing the enduring bonds of collaboration between Liberia and the United States.
