*December 2, 2023* — A prominent U.S. delegation comprising senior officials from over 20 U.S. Departments, Agencies, and organizations is set to attend the 2023 UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from November 30 to December 12, 2023. The delegation aims to advance U.S. climate goals and contribute to a robust outcome at the global event.

Headed by Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry, the U.S. delegation includes key figures such as Vice President Kamala Harris (attending from December 1-2), Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Samantha Power, among others.

The diverse delegation encompasses leaders from various sectors, reflecting the comprehensive approach of the U.S. government in addressing climate change.

Key officials include Alice Albright (CEO, Millennium Challenge Corporation), Rostin Behnam (Chairman, U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission), and Brenda Mallory (Chair, White House Council on Environmental Quality), among others.

With a broad focus on climate-related issues, the U.S. delegation will engage in discussions covering climate-conflict intersections, food security, gender, global health, subnational diplomacy, youth involvement, and more.

The lineup reflects the U.S. commitment to addressing climate challenges through a multifaceted strategy.

The delegation is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the U.S. stance at COP28 and fostering international collaboration to combat climate change.

The involvement of high-profile officials from diverse fields underscores the interconnected nature of climate issues and the need for a holistic approach to tackle them.
