The United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has announced plans to host the final edition of its quarterly Business Series for the year, focusing on the power of digital marketing to boost the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The event, themed “Content That Converts: Building Influence and Driving Growth Through Strategic Marketing,” will take place on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the UBA Head Office, Marina, Lagos.

According to the bank, this initiative reflects its consistent commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and business owners with the skills and strategies needed to remain competitive in today’s rapidly evolving digital economy. The UBA Business Series has become a key platform where business experts and industry leaders share valuable insights to help SMEs achieve sustainable growth through innovation, financial literacy, and technology adoption.

This upcoming edition will feature an impressive lineup of top digital marketing professionals and social media influencers who have successfully built strong online brands across Africa. The guest speakers include digital creator and actor Elozonam Ogbolu, digital health expert Chinonso Egemba (popularly known as Aproko Doctor), Kenyan actress and media entrepreneur Catherine Kamau, content creator Nasiru Lawal (Nasboi), and influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa. These panelists will discuss how businesses can use storytelling and authentic engagement to build trust and convert audiences into loyal customers.

UBA’s Group Head of Retail and Digital Banking, Shamsideen Fashola, highlighted the growing influence of content creation in today’s business landscape. He said, “Content is the new oil, and at UBA, we recognise the content creation and digital influence sector as a very tangible and significant pillar of the Nigerian economy.” He further explained that the session will guide entrepreneurs on how to craft impactful digital strategies that can help them expand their visibility and customer base.

The Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Alero Ladipo, also noted that the session aims to provide more than just basic marketing tips. “Successful content creation goes beyond simply shooting videos; it requires clear strategy, creativity, and consistency,” she said. Ladipo added that UBA remains dedicated to knowledge sharing that drives innovation and sustainable growth for African businesses.

The event will be open to entrepreneurs, digital creators, and professionals across Africa, both in-person and online. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in live question-and-answer sessions and gain personalized advice from the panel of experts. The session is expected to inspire SMEs to adopt data-driven digital marketing tools, build stronger customer relationships, and unlock new levels of profitability in the modern business environment.
