For Manchester City, the afternoon marked what is likely to be Kevin De Bruyne’s final Manchester derby at Old Trafford. The Belgian playmaker, who will depart at the end of the season, was unable to provide a decisive moment in his 22nd appearance against United.
Starting in a central role in place of Jack Grealish, De Bruyne showed flashes of his former brilliance – turning smartly in the box, delivering probing passes and bursting past defenders.
