Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has revealed that her views on marriage have changed, stating that love alone is no longer enough reason for her to walk down the aisle.
Speaking during a recent interview with Yanga FM Lagos, the outspoken media personality said her life experiences after gaining fame have shaped her perspective on what truly matters in a relationship. Tacha explained that she now prioritises financial stability over emotional attachment when it comes to choosing a life partner.
According to her, while she once believed in the idea of marrying purely for love, her current status and lifestyle demand a more practical approach. “I can’t marry just because of love. I’m looking for a billionaire. I’m a millionaire, so my potential husband should be richer than me. I’m certain I can’t marry for love. If I was before Big Brother Naija, maybe it would have been an option. But right now, it’s a no,” she said.
The Port Harcourt-born influencer also stressed that marriage is not her top priority at the moment. Instead, she is focused on building her career, expanding her businesses, and creating long-term opportunities for herself.
Tacha further noted that many women end up making mistakes in marriage because they rely solely on emotions instead of considering financial compatibility and mutual goals. She insisted that a woman should aspire to be self-sufficient and ensure her partner matches her ambition and lifestyle.
Since leaving the BBNaija show in 2019, Tacha has built a strong personal brand through endorsements, hosting gigs, and philanthropy. She continues to inspire her followers with her confidence and business-minded approach to life, reinforcing her belief that love should never come at the cost of financial security.
