President Bola Tinubu has approved the immediate construction of new hostels at the Nigerian Law School, Abuja Campus.
The project involves building two purpose built facilities, each with a capacity of 300 students, one for female students and the other for male students. This initiative aims to significantly improve accommodation conditions for law school students in Abuja.
The President also directed the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to execute the project under emergency consideration. According to Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister, the President’s directive is expected to enhance the overall experience of law students in Abuja.
In addition to the hostel project, President Tinubu has approved the construction of a major access road linking the Body of Benchers Secretariat in Jabi District to Nile University. This road project will not only provide smooth access to the Secretariat but also ease traffic congestion on the busy route leading to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission headquarters.
The construction of the access road and hostels is part of the government’s efforts to improve infrastructure and provide a conducive environment for learning and development. The projects are expected to be completed in record time, given the emergency consideration status.
