A political support organisation known as the PBAT Door to Door Movement has pledged to work towards securing 15 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The group made this commitment during a solidarity rally held in Yenagoa to welcome Governor Douye Diri into the All Progressives Congress. The event attracted a large crowd of supporters from across Bayelsa State.
The National Coordinator of the group, Sunday Asuku, said the movement is determined to mobilise grassroots support to ensure Tinubu’s re election. He explained that the group has structures across the country and will intensify mobilisation efforts as the 2027 election approaches. According to him, the President’s achievements so far have encouraged more citizens to believe in his leadership.
Asuku commended President Tinubu for promoting unity and inclusiveness in governance, noting that his approach has won the admiration of Nigerians across party lines. He said the President has demonstrated commitment to building a stable political environment for growth. In his words, “President Tinubu’s bold economic reforms and improved governance across all fronts are clear indicators of his commitment to improving the lives and livelihoods of Nigerians.”
He added that the PBAT Door to Door Movement is confident that with the increasing support for the President nationwide, the target of 15 million votes is achievable. Asuku also highlighted that more Nigerians are beginning to appreciate the impact of the President’s policies as reforms continue to gain results.
Another leader of the movement, Francis Kolokolo, described Governor Diri’s decision to join the APC as a patriotic and courageous step. He said the development would open doors for Bayelsa to benefit more from the Federal Government. Kolokolo stated, “By aligning Bayelsa with the centre, Governor Diri has shown readiness to prioritise the welfare of his people above partisan politics.”
He further noted that the movement would continue to encourage collaboration that promotes development in the state and urged Bayelsa residents to support the President as the nation prepares for the next election. The rally ended with a renewed call for unity and collective effort towards national progress.
