Robbers Attack Gianluigi Donnarumma’s Home In Paris

A group of thieves attacked Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and his partner at their home in the French capital on Thursday night.

The crime news site Actu17 revealed that the thieves forced open the door of the house, which is located in the eighth district, one of the most exclusive areas of the city, assaulted the couple and fled with goods worth an estimated 500,000 euros.

They were tied up and held hostage. Later, they took refuge in a nearby hotel, where the employees alerted the police. The 24-year-old Italian international and his partner were then taken to a hospital for examination.

According to Actu17, the thieves also tied up the building’s doorman beforehand in order to facilitate the robbery.

After receiving police assistance, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Alessia Elefante had to be taken to hospital. While the PSG goalkeeper suffered minor injuries, two of them to the head, his partner had to be treated for shock.

Although the Paris police are doing everything possible to find the perpetrators, they are still on the run. The robbery may have been committed at gunpoint.

As planned, Gianluigi Donnarumma will travel with the PSG squad tomorrow as they head to Japan for pre-season.

Donnarumma, Elefante and the goalkeeper’s agency have said they will not comment on what happened until the French police have completed their investigation.

In recent years, several PSG players have been victims of theft, usually in their absence.

Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, Angel Di Maria, Mauro Icardi and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting are just some of the players who have been burgled while playing for PSG.

In January, the Versailles Criminal Court sentenced two men to prison for the robbery of Marquinhos’ house in Yvelines in March 2021.
