Nottingham Forest manager, Steve Cooper has said Taiwo Awoniyi is not fully fit yet.
Awoniyi passed a late fitness test to be included in the matchday squad for last weekend’s away trip to Arsenal
The Nigeria international came off the bench to score in the 2-1 defeat to the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.
Cooper provided more updates on the striker fitness and his teammate Moussa Niakhite ahead of the Saturday’s home clash against Sheffield United
”Both (Awoniyi and Niakhite) have had minutes in different ways and forms. Last week Taiwo came on at Arsenal, which was a slight risk because he hadn’t done much training but obviously, when the game is going on, and you’ve got an opportunity to do something like that, you take it.”
