Al-Ittihad reach personal agreement with Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah.
Al-Ittihad have been in constant talks with the Egyptian over the past couple of hours and have reportedly reach an agreement for his transfer over to the Middle East.
Salah, 31, has two years left on his Liverpool deal and is open to a move to the Saudi Pro League. Which might see him reunite with former teammate Fabinho.
Reports however suggest the the player is not looking to force the deal through and would remain at the cub IF Liverpool are refusing to sell.
The deal to the Saudi side could be the biggest ever in terms of salary package as Al-Ittihad are willing to offer the forward $240m on a 3-year-contract.
Salah is not the first Liverpool player linked with a move to the Middle East as former club captain Jordan Henderson currently plies his trade with Al-Ettifaq – a team coached by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
Mohammed Salah joined Liverpool in 2017 from Serie A side AS Roma and has gone on to win several honours with the team including the UEFA Champions League in 2019, the Premier League Title in 2020 and a domestic cup double in 2022.
