Juventus maintained their unbeaten record in Serie A with victory on the road at Empoli on Sunday evening.
While a draw at home to Bologna last weekend means they are two points adrift of AC Milan and Inter Milan, Massimiliano Allegri’s side took the lead in the first half through Danilo and the points were secured when Federico Chiesa scored in the final 10 minutes.

Goals from Danilo and Federico Chiesa were enough to secure victory for Juventus at Empoli in Serie A.
The opener came midway through the first half when Filip Kostic’s corner eventually dropped to Danilo who drove the ball home.
The lead should have been doubled by half time but Dusan Vlahovic saw his penalty saved by Etrit Berisha.
The game was put beyond doubt eight minutes from time when Arkadiusz Milik pushed through a long ball which Chiesa latched onto and, although he was brought down by the onrushing goalkeeper, got up and slotted the ball inside the near post.
As Empoli threw men forward in the closing stages, the Bianconeri could twice have extended their lead when substitute forwards Milik and Moise Kean both saw efforts come back off the woodwork.
The win sees Juventus move up to third in the table with two wins and a draw from their opening games. Empoli have lost their first three games and sit at the foot of Serie A.
