Youths inclusion in politics is improving gradually, which shows that Nigerian youths are gradually embracing the baton of leadership.

In early August , President Tinubu deliberately included a  400 level Economics student, Orire Agbaje, of the University of Ibadan (UI), as a member of the presidential committee on fiscal policy and tax reforms.

In terms of political inclusion , Oyo State Governor  Seyi Makinde  yesterday, swore in a 27-year-old lady, Miss Wasilat Adegoke, as the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, along with a host of others

The swearing-in took place at the Executive Chamber of the Governor’s Office in Agodi, Ibadan, the state capital. Speaking at the ceremony, Makinde urged the commissioners to drive government policies in their respective ministries passionately and to

follow the policy direction of his administration as captured in his roadmap for sustainable development that will benefit the people.

The governor instructed  the new Commissioner for Youth and Sports to ensure synergy and collaboration with other relevant partners, adding that she needs  to harness talents and grassroots sports development and prioritise the completion of the second phase of the Lekan Salami Sports Complex.

At the end of the swearing-in the governor assured the people of the state that his team is working assiduously to improve  the health sector’s 50–60 its 50-60 per cent infrastructural performance, and he also expressed confidence that when Primary healthcare facilities across the local wards in the state are fully equipped and staffed, they will relieve the burden on the state’s secondary healthcare facilities.
