Eight out of twenty-five members of the Christ Apostolic Church that were kidnapped yesterday have been released.
GOVIMA reported that twenty-five members of CAC, Oke Igan, Akure, Ondo State were kidnapped by some gunmen on Friday evening
Choristers from a local church fell victim to a harrowing incident when they were reportedly ambushed and abducted along the Benin-Akure Expressway, near the Ifon area within the Ose Local Government Area of the state.
The group was en route to Ifon to attend a burial ceremony when they were intercepted by criminals who forcibly took them into the nearby forest, their destination remaining unknown.
“Good news!, eight victims rescued, effort is on to rescue others unhurt”, she said on a WhatsApp platform.
