A sad thing is happening in Ogun State as one 40- year old Lekan Sunday has been arrested for defiling the messenger of God.
Lekan was arrested raping a prophetess in a church in the state
It was said that he stormed the church, Orioke Aanu Oluwa Gbohunmi, in the Ilogbo Adu area of Kemta in Abeokuta with weapons and met the victim sleeping.
He held the prophetess of the church hostage while brandishing a knife in her face, saying that he would kill her if she continued to give him a tough time.
When she made the noise to call for help and no one was coming, she was said to be begging him.
The suspect was said to have insisted on having sex with the prophetess
After finally forcing her into submission and allegedly raping the prophetess, the victim was said to have approached a nearby police station, where the matter was reported.
From her report, the police launch a manhunt for the suspect who has fled.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, the Ogun state of the Nigerian Police force said the crime was committed on Thursday but their men arrested the man on Monday.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola added that after the suspect arrest, the prophetess recognised the suspect as a mason and labourer in the area.
