President Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, honored 17 fallen soldiers of the Nigerian Army who lost their lives in Delta State on March 14, 2024.

During their burial ceremony at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja, President Tinubu announced significant provisions for the families left behind.

This includes housing facilities for surviving family members, scholarships for all their children up to university level, and the directive for the payment of death benefits within 90 days.

In recognition of their sacrifice, President Tinubu posthumously conferred national honors on the fallen soldiers, with Lt. Col. A.H Ali, Maj S.D Shafa, Maj D.E Obi, and Capt U Zakari receiving the Member of the Order of the Niger.

Additionally, other soldiers were honored with the Officer of the Order of the Niger distinction.
