Nottingham Forest’s Ola Aina is optimistic about their chances of staying in the Premier League this season despite their current 17th position on the table.
Ola Aina’s Nottingham Forest team still have challenging matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Chelsea, and Manchester City in the remaining fixtures. But their defender is adamant his team would survive.
Additionally, Forest has been dealt a blow with a four-point deduction for breaching profit and sustainability rules, impacting their league standing.
Although Nuno Espirito Santo’s side has appealed the decision, the outcome could significantly influence their fate this season.
Despite these challenges, Aina believes in Forest’s ability to avoid relegation. In an interview with the Nottingham Post, he expressed confidence in the team’s potential to improve and secure positive results in upcoming matches.
“I don’t see the team going down,” Aina told the Nottingham Post.
“We’ve had a difficult season by our standards, but I very much expect us to improve in our next game.
“More importantly, it’s about playing well and trying to get a result to stay up.” Aina said.
As a versatile defender, Aina has contributed significantly with 17 league appearances, scoring one goal and providing an assist during the season.
