Paris Saint-Germain Confirm Signing of Super Falcons Midfielder Jennifer Echegini.
Paris Saint-Germain’s French D1 Arkema side have announced the signing of Super Falcons midfielder, Jennifer Echegini, on a three-year contract.
Echegini, 23, recently departed from Italian club Juventus, where she enjoyed a prolific season, scoring 10 goals and providing one assist in 16 appearances. Her move to the Parisian giants marks a significant step in her burgeoning career.
“I am experiencing a great moment in my career today. Signing for Paris Saint-Germain is a huge source of pride. I am very proud to join a club that is recognised around the world for its ambition and excellence,” Echegini expressed to the club’s official website. “I can’t wait to get started and I can’t wait to give the best of myself to try to win, with my teammates and for the supporters, as many trophies as possible.”
Echegini is currently on international duty with Nigeria. The Super Falcons recently set up camp in Sevilla, Spain, in preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games, which will be hosted in Paris, France.
The midfielder’s addition to PSG is expected to bolster the team’s midfield options as they strive for domestic and international success in the coming seasons.
