Super Eagles Legend Jay-Jay Okocha Arrives in Abidjan for African Coaches Symposium.
Nigeria’s football icon, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, has arrived in Abidjan ahead of the highly anticipated African Coaches Symposium. The former Super Eagles star was invited by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as a special guest for the event.
The symposium, organised by CAF, aims to analyse and assess the performance of teams that participated in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, which took place in Ivory Coast. Okocha, who enjoyed a glittering career with the Nigerian national team and several European clubs, is one of many distinguished football figures gracing the occasion.
Okocha touched down in Abidjan on Wednesday afternoon, ahead of the event’s official commencement on Thursday. The symposium is expected to attract 50 coaches from CAF member associations, offering a platform for knowledge-sharing and discussions on advancing African football.
With Okocha’s presence and the participation of top African coaches, the event promises to be an important milestone in evaluating and enhancing the continent’s footballing standards.
