Arsenal Secure Dramatic 4:2 Victory Over Leicester.

Arsenal scored twice in stoppage time to claim a dramatic 4-2 victory over Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium, denying the Foxes a hard-fought point after an impressive second-half comeback.

An own goal by Wilfred Ndidi in the 94th minute, followed by a close-range strike from Kai Havertz in the ninth minute of stoppage time, sealed the win for the Gunners, who were in control for much of the first half. Leicester had battled back from two goals down to level the score in a thrilling encounter.

Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring for Arsenal in the first half, steering home a Jurrien Timber cross. Martinelli then turned provider on the stroke of half-time, assisting Leandro Trossard for the Gunners’ second goal. By the break, Leicester had managed just one touch in the Arsenal penalty area, with the home side looking comfortable.

However, Leicester came out strong in the second half, reducing the deficit just a minute after the restart. James Justin’s header, from a Facundo Buonanotte free-kick, deflected off Havertz and found the back of the net. Justin then spectacularly levelled the game with a stunning swerving volley from Ndidi’s cross, which beat Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya via the inside of the post.

Arsenal appeared momentarily shaken by Leicester’s resurgence but soon regained control. Leicester’s goalkeeper Mads Hermansen produced two superb saves to keep the score level, first denying Havertz from point-blank range and then thwarting Trossard after an error inside his own area.

Trossard’s late shot was deflected into the net by Ndidi, restoring Arsenal’s lead before Havertz struck from close range to seal the result.

The victory brings Arsenal level on points with Manchester City at the top of the table, though they could be overtaken by Liverpool if the Reds secure a win against Wolves in Saturday’s late fixture at Molineux.
