NPFL Matchday 4: Remo Stars Triumph As Katsina United Dominate Lobi Stars (Govima Sports Report).

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) witnessed thrilling encounters over the weekend as Matchday 4 delivered excitement and upsets across the country. The highlight of the matches took place on Saturday, 28th September, where Nasarawa United edged out Ikorodu City with a 2-1 victory, and Sunshine Stars secured a crucial 2-1 win over Akwa United.

 

On Sunday, 29th September, Finidi George’s Rivers United delivered a solid performance, defeating Enyimba 2-0 to maintain their strong start to the season. Meanwhile, a dramatic 2-2 draw unfolded between Elkanemi Warriors and plateau United showcasing a display of resilience from both teams.





 

Elsewhere,  Niger Tornadoes were held to a 1-1 draw by Bendel Insurance, while Abia Warriors picked up a comfortable 2-0 victory over Kano Pillars. Bayelsa United and Kwara United shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

 

One of the standout performances came from Katsina United, who cruised to a 3-0 win against Lobi Stars while Remo Stars claimed a hard-fought 2-1 win over defending champions Rangers International. In the final match of the weekend, Shooting Stars triumphed with a narrow 1-0 victory against Heartland, adding valuable points to their campaign.

With these results, the NPFL season continues to heat up, as teams jostle for position in the league standings. Fans can look forward to even more intense clashes in the coming weeks.
