Ronaldo’s Record-Breaking Stint With Al Nassr To Continue Until 2026.

In a move that underscores his status as the highest-paid footballer in history, Cristiano Ronaldo is poised to extend his tenure with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr. The Portuguese superstar has reportedly agreed to a new one-year contract, which will see him pocket an astonishing €3.8 million per week. The total package, including €60 million from image rights, is set to be worth €200 million.

Since his headline-grabbing move to Al Nassr in 2023, Ronaldo has been a revelation, netting 75 goals in just 84 appearances. His prolific scoring record has not only elevated the club’s performance but also significantly increased the profile of the Saudi Pro League on the global stage.

This contract extension, which will keep Ronaldo at Al Nassr until 2026, is strategically timed to coincide with his ambition to play in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The tournament, potentially marking the 41-year-old’s final bow on the international scene, represents a significant motivator for Ronaldo to continue his illustrious career at the highest level.

The agreement is more than just a testament to Ronaldo’s enduring prowess on the pitch; it’s a clear signal of the financial might and ambition of the Saudi Pro League. With this deal, Al Nassr not only retains one of football’s greatest icons but also cements its place as a significant player in the global football market.

Ronaldo’s influence extends beyond the goals he scores. His presence in Saudi Arabia has been pivotal in attracting other high-profile players to the league, thus enhancing its competitiveness and appeal. As Ronaldo approaches what might be the twilight of his career, fans worldwide will be eager to see if he can add yet another chapter to his storied legacy by leading Portugal in the 2026 World Cup.
