PSG Cruise Into Champions League Last 16 With Dominant Win Over Brest.

Paris Saint-Germain secured their place in the Champions League last 16 in emphatic fashion, thrashing Brest to complete a dominant knockout play-off victory. Luis Enrique’s side, already holding a 3-0 lead from the first leg, ran riot at the Parc des Princes to extend their aggregate advantage and continue their dominance over their French rivals this season.

Bradley Barcola opened the scoring with a sharp finish at the near post before Khvicha Kvaratskhelia doubled PSG’s lead with a simple tap-in before half-time. Portugal international Joao Neves rattled the crossbar before his compatriot Vitinha added a third, curling a precise shot into the bottom corner just before the hour mark.

From there, PSG overwhelmed Brest, shifting into another gear. Gonçalo Ramos set up fellow substitute Désiré Doué for the fourth, before Nuno Mendes slid in Achraf Hakimi’s inviting cross to make it five. Ramos then produced a deft finish for the sixth, and teenager Senny Mayulu put the finishing touches on an outstanding performance with a late seventh.

Brest, who have now lost to PSG four times this season—conceding 18 goals in the process—struggled to make an impact. Their best moments came when Mathias Pereira Lage’s effort was cleared off the line by PSG captain Marquinhos, while Pierre Lees-Melou struck the post with a curling shot.

With their resounding victory, PSG now turn their attention to the last-16 draw, where they will face either Liverpool or Barcelona. The draw takes place on Friday, 21 February at 11:00 GMT in Nyon, Switzerland.
