Air Peace, a prominent Nigerian airline, has announced a significant boost in capacity for its Lagos-London route in response to escalating demand from travelers.
The airline made this revelation via its official Facebook account on Wednesday, signaling an expansion in options for individuals interested in flying to London with Air Peace.
Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support from both Nigerian and UK populations, the statement affirmed the company’s commitment to maintaining the nation’s pride while striving to meet the growing demand.
The inaugural flight to London by Air Peace carried 260 passengers aboard a Boeing 777, which boasts a capacity of 274 seats, on Saturday. Notably, this route will now be serviced daily from Lagos.
This development has caused a disruption in market dynamics, prompting foreign airlines that previously monopolized the route to reassess their pricing strategies.
Allen Onyema, the Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, disclosed that tickets for Lagos-London flights with the airline have been sold out until September.
Speaking during an interview with Arise TV on Monday, Onyema highlighted that the airline currently operates a fleet of over 30 aircraft and has placed orders for an additional 33, aiming to expand its fleet to more than 60 aircraft in the near future.
