The Lagos State government, Thursday, said it will increase the passenger operation on the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue Line in Marina to Mile 2 from 52 to 70 trips per day by December. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited is expected to supply the new 650,000 barrel per day capacity Dangote oil refinery with up to six cargoes of crude oil in December for test runs. Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has commended the leadership of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for swiftly responding to concerns over the arrest of some students of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). The Federal Capital Territory High Court has ordered the unconditional and immediate release of the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele. Justice O.A. Adeniyi made the order following an ex-parte motion filed by Emefiele.
