The Senate has launched a probe into the circumstances surrounding the incarceration of 250 Nigerians in Ethiopian prison. This followed a motion by the senate minority leader, Simon Mwadkwon, at the plenary yesterday. A report making the rounds on social media said over 250 Nigerians are facing inhumanity and maltreatment in Ethiopia without committing any offense. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it plans to transmit results of the November 11 Bayelsa governorship election manually. Dr. Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor, Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has visited the scene of the collapsed Church building in Makurdi. Enenche, who visited the scene Wednesday, was accompanied by his wife, Becky Enenche. Some armed men suspected to be bandits have invaded the student dormitories of the Federal University in Dutsinma (FUDMA), Katsina State, abducting five female students. The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) board wants clubs to sensitise their players on the need to shun banned substances. The NPFL announced on Monday that it is introducing random tests for players to curb the use of banned drugs. The league body has already acquired testing kits from the United Kingdom to make the exercise a success.
