Enenche, who visited the scene Wednesday, was accompanied by his wife, Becky Enenche. Some armed men suspected to be bandits have invaded the student dormitories of the Federal University in Dutsinma (FUDMA), Katsina State, abducting five female students. The incident occured in the early hours of Wednesday, at the students’ off-campus dormitories behind Mariamoh Ajiri school, close to Wednesday Market in Dutsinma. “Five of them (the students) were kidnapped, they are from Kano and Nasarawa states and two of them are final year students,” one of the students at the university said. The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) board wants clubs to sensitise their players on the need to shun banned substances. The NPFL announced on Monday that it is introducing random tests for players to curb the use of banned drugs. The league body has already acquired testing kits from the United Kingdom to make the exercise a success. Pope Francis has suggested he would be open to having the Catholic Church bless same-sex couples. Responding to a group of cardinals who asked him for clarity on the issue, he said any request for a blessing should be treated with “pastoral charity”. “We cannot be judges who only deny, reject and exclude,” he said. Lagos State Police Command, yesterday, said it has detained singer, Mr. Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, amid investigation into the death of late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad.
