The governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Jos, has upheld the election of Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State. Mutfwang, who contested the election under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Bandits on Friday morning abducted an unspecified number of students from the Federal University of Gusau. Lagos State Police has arrested the nurse who allegedly gave late Nigerian musician Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, aka MohBad, an injection before his death. According to a police source, investigators discovered that the musician was beaten by the same persons who constantly harassed and threatened him after his show at Ikorodu. He was alleged to have suffered injuries as a result of the beating, prompting him to seek the care of a nurse at home. MohBad began convulsing after receiving injections, one of which was said to be an anti-tetanus shot.
