Sen. Olamilekan Adeola has appealed to the youth not to participate in any action being planned to destabilise the country over the outcome of the Feb.25 presidential election. Adeola ,Chairman ,Senate Committee on Finance, made the appeal in Lagos, at the presentation of 480 laptops to students and teachers in his constituency. The Federal Government has approved two contracts worth N15.3 billion for the supply and installation of information and communication technology (ICT) devices for the 2023 population and housing census slated for May 3 to 5. The amount was for the supply and installation of ICT devices for the census exercise. The death of a police officer who was enforcing a ban on commercial motorcycles popularly known as okada at Cele Bus Stop in Lagos has been confirmed. Lagos State Police Command confirmed the incident on Wednesday. A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, sitting at Maitama, yesterday, issued an order, restraining Mr. Julius Abure from parading himself as the National Chairman of the Labour Party, LP. In an update to the earlier report suggesting the kidnapping of about 10 students in Kachia LGA, the Kaduna State Government has received detailed reports from security agencies on the incident.
