Finidi George, the interim manager of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, has announced plans to introduce a new set of players when they face the Eagles of Mali on Tuesday.
The Nigerian team secured a 2-1 victory against Ghana in Marrakech on Friday, with former Bendel Insurance defender Benjamin Tanimu making his debut during the match.
Speaking about the upcoming game against Mali, Finidi emphasized the importance of managing player workload. “We are going to see new players. We cannot overload the players. Some will come in, and we will see the areas where they can help,” Finidi stated, as reported by NFF TV.
Players such as Kenneth Omeruo, Calvin Bassey, Nathan Tella, and Olorunleke Ojo are expected to feature in the match against Mali, adding depth and variety to the squad lineup. This strategic approach aims to optimize player performance and address specific areas of need for the team.
