Cote d’Ivoire remain favourite to win AFCON according to Super Eagles boss Jose Peseiro
Jose Peseiro, has said host nation Cote d’Ivoire are favourites to win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Nigeria play the hosts on Sunday, looking to lift the title for the fourth time in history.
Peseiro, while speaking to the media today, believes the Ivorians have the advantage.
“Congratulations to Cote d’Ivoire for reaching the final; they are the favourites, but we want to win the AFCON,” Peseiro said.
He did conclude that he wants to “win the trophy for the people of Nigeria.”
The Super Eagles earlier defeated Cote d’Ivoire in the group stages, and they will be confident they can repeat the feat.
