Veteran singer, Eldee The Don, has made a remarkable claim that his father was the first person to connect Nigeria to the internet.
According to Eldee, his dad set up the first cyber cafe in Lagos and provided internet services to major clients, including oil firms and government agencies.
Eldee revealed that his early access to technology, courtesy of his father’s innovative work, gave him a significant edge in the music industry. He shared his story on the Adesope Live show, stating, “My dad was a pioneer in his own space as well. That man [my Dad] was the first person to connect Nigeria to the internet.”
He further explained that his father’s cyber cafe was a groundbreaking venture that provided internet services to prominent organizations. Eldee also mentioned that having a studio in their house exposed him to music production at a young age.
