FA Cup Third-Round Draw Delivers Blockbuster Arsenal vs Manchester United Clash.

Holders Manchester United face a daunting task in the FA Cup third round after being drawn away to 14-time winners Arsenal, a fixture steeped in football history. United, who defeated Manchester City in last season’s final to claim their 13th title, will travel to the Emirates Stadium for a mouth-watering encounter.

Elsewhere, Premier League leaders Liverpool will host League Two side Accrington Stanley, while Manchester City welcome Salford City, owned by members of the famous ‘Class of 92’, including Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, and David Beckham.

Dream Tie for Tamworth

Non-league side Tamworth, the lowest-ranked team remaining in the competition, have been rewarded for their stunning second-round penalty shootout victory over Burton Albion with a glamour tie against Tottenham Hotspur. Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs will visit the Lamb Ground in what promises to be a momentous occasion for the National League North club.

Fellow non-league outfit Dagenham & Redbridge will travel to Championship side Millwall, while League Two’s struggling Morecambe face a daunting trip to Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea.

A Family Affair at Goodison Park?

One of the most intriguing subplots of the third round could see Everton’s 39-year-old full-back Ashley Young face his 18-year-old son Tyler Young, should Peterborough United select the teenager for their trip to Goodison Park. “Wow… dreams might come true,” the former England international posted on social media.

Other Notable Fixtures

Newcastle United will host Bromley, another League Two side battling relegation, while Southampton, recently relegated to the Championship, take on Swansea City. Leicester City, fresh from appointing Ruud van Nistelrooy as manager, will welcome Queens Park Rangers to the King Power Stadium.

Fixture Dates

The third-round matches are scheduled to be played over the weekend of Saturday, 11 January. This stage marks the entry of the Premier League and Championship clubs into the competition, joining the 20 lower-league and non-league sides that navigated the earlier rounds.

With several eye-catching ties and potential upsets on the cards, fans are eagerly anticipating one of the most exciting weekends in the football calendar.
