During a Ramadan Iftar gathering held at the State House in Abuja, Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, conveyed her optimism about the nation’s future under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking at the event, Mrs. Tinubu expressed confidence in her husband’s commitment to improving Nigeria’s condition and leaving behind a positive legacy for generations to come.
Emphasizing the collective responsibility of governance, Mrs. Tinubu stated the need for unity and cooperation among citizens. She stated that under President Tinubu’s leadership, the nation would witness major progress.
Joined by Nana Shettima, the wife of the Vice President, Mrs. Tinubu called upon women to support one another and to keep Nigeria in their prayers, particularly during the concluding days of Ramadan.
The event also featured a guest lecture by Prof. Rafatu AbdulHammed of the University of Abuja, who stressed the importance of values such as love, piety, humility, and tolerance in enhancing the lives of Nigerians.
In attendance were former First Ladies of Nigeria, female justices, governors’ wives, female ministers, and spouses of service chiefs. Together, they offered prayers for the nation’s well-being and expressed their commitment to contributing to Nigeria’s progress.
