Former APC Chairman Bisi Akande Reveals Spiritual Threats Faced By President Tinubu

Chief Bisi Akande, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), revealed that serious spiritual threats were posed to prevent Asiwaju Bola Tinubu from being inaugurated as Nigeria’s president.

This revelation came during a one-day lecture organised by the Arewa Think Tank in Kaduna to celebrate the one-year achievements of President Tinubu’s administration.

Chief Akande, chairing the event, stated, “The tension and threats generated in the country by the opposition to deny Tinubu the presidential victory in the election were not surprising.” He noted that opposition forces have historically aimed to undermine Nigeria’s unity since Chief Tony Enahoro first moved a motion for independence in 1953.

Addressing the pre-election period, Akande recounted the series of prophecies and spiritual interventions aimed at preventing Tinubu’s rise. “Towards the last elections, the prophecy was thick that Bola Ahmed Tinubu would not become the APC candidate, but he did. Religious clerics of various beliefs became sleepless for him not to win the presidential elections, yet he won.”

Akande continued, “Thereafter, spiritual threats and political maneuvering began to prevent his inauguration, but he assumed the presidency. The judicial battles that ensued were overcome, and his presidency was upheld. Predictions of his health failing were also proven wrong, as he remains divinely healthy.”

The elder statesman emphasized Nigeria’s resilience, stating, “Nigeria has been waxing stronger as one united country under Tinubu’s leadership. One Nigeria is a major part of what we are now celebrating.”

Reflecting on his role as the pioneer national chairman of the APC, Akande expressed confidence in Nigeria’s future under Tinubu’s administration. “I am particularly convinced that Nigeria will continue to be sustained as a more peaceful, developed, progressive, and prosperous country.”

Benue State Governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, who served as the guest speaker, stressed the importance of unity. “Our religions should not divide us,” he said, adding that Nigeria’s failure would negatively impact the entire African continent.

Governor Alia emphasized the strength found in diversity, urging Nigerians to see it as a source of power and unity rather than conflict. “If Nigeria fails as a nation, the entire countries in Africa will fail,” he warned.

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that unity is key to achieving peace and progress in Nigeria.

Muhammad Alhaji Yakubu, the Chief Convener of the Arewa Think Tank, opened the event by highlighting the objectives of the celebration. He praised President Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ for its focus on foreign investment, health sector energization, affordable education, good governance, social and economic transformation, peace and religious harmony, and combating rural banditry and insecurity.

The event underscored the administration’s commitment to these goals and celebrated the progress made in the past year under President Tinubu’s leadership.
