Governor Fubara Appoints Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi As New Vice-Chancellor Of Rivers State University.
The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has approved the appointment of Professor Isaac Zeb-Obipi as the new Vice-Chancellor of Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt.
The announcement was made in a special government statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Tammy Danagogo, in Port Harcourt on Thursday. According to the statement, the appointment takes immediate effect.
Professor Zeb-Obipi takes over from Professor Nlerum Okogbule, who was appointed by former Governor Nyesom Wike on 5th March 2020.
Before his appointment, Zeb-Obipi was a Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management. He also served as the Director of the university’s Information and Communication Technology Centre.
His leadership is expected to bring further development to the institution, enhancing academic excellence and innovation at Rivers State University.
