Popular American actor and musician, Jamie Foxx, has revealed his harrowing experience with a brain bleed that led to a stroke.
In his new Netflix special, Foxx shared that he suffered a severe headache on April 11, 2023, and lost consciousness for 20 days.
Foxx explained that he was admitted to Piedmont Hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with a brain bleed that resulted in a stroke. The cause of the brain bleed remains a mystery, with Foxx stating, “It is a mystery. We still don’t know exactly what happened to me.”
Foxx recounted that he asked his assistant for an aspirin due to the headache, but before he could receive it, he blacked out. “On April 11, 2023, I had a bad headache and I asked my boy for an aspirin, but I realised quickly that your boys don’t know what to do when you are in a medical emergency,” he said.
Foxx further explained, “Before I could get the aspirin I went out. And I do not remember 20 days.” He woke up from a coma to find himself in a wheelchair, unable to walk.
