Manchester United Lead The Way As Europa League Knockout Stage Takes Shape.

The Europa League group stage has concluded, with the knockout phase now set. Manchester United emerged as the only team to remain unbeaten throughout the group matches, securing a 2-0 victory over FCSB to advance directly to the last 16.

 

Tottenham, despite struggling with injuries, produced an impressive 3-0 win against Elfsborg, while Rangers secured a 2-1 triumph over Union Saint-Gilloise. Both sides have also bypassed the knockout play-off round, booking their spots in the last 16.

Knockout Play-off Draw and Fixtures

The draw for the play-off round is set to take place on Friday, 31 January, at 12:00 GMT. The matchups are already partially determined, with teams aware of their potential opponents.

 

– Fenerbahçe or Twente will face Bodo/Glimt or Anderlecht

– Ferencváros or Porto will take on Roma or Viktoria Plzeň

– Union Saint-Gilloise or PAOK will meet FCSB or Ajax

– AZ Alkmaar or Midtjylland will be drawn against Real Sociedad or Galatasaray

 

With the knockout stage now set, excitement builds as teams prepare for the crucial fixtures ahead. British clubs Manchester United, Tottenham, and Rangers have already secured their last-16 spots, avoiding the extra challenge of the play-offs. The coming weeks promise thrilling encounters as teams battle for a place in the next round of the competition.
