Nollywood’s newest star, May Edochie, has opened up about her bold decision to turn down hefty movie offers despite her recent debut success.
May, estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie, made her Nollywood debut in Omoni Oboli’s ‘Uprising’, which premiered last month. However, she revealed that she rejected top-dollar offers from prominent producers and directors.
May attributed her decision to her versatility, saying, “I’m a master of all trades… there’s a whole lot I can do if I put my mind to it.” She initially considered declining Omoni Oboli’s offer for ‘Uprising’ before joining the project.
“For the past two years, I’ve received scripts, movie roles, and mouth-watering offers, but I rejected everything,” May shared.
May’s courage and self-awareness have sparked interest in her future projects. Will she continue to surprise the industry with her choices.
