The widow of the late Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Ilerioluwa Aloba, famously known as Mohbad, has made a distress call concerning the constant threats she and her son, Liam, are facing.
She has urged Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, to urgently seek a court order for a Deoxyribonucleic Acid identification (DNA) test for Liam.
Following Mohbad’s unexpected demise in September 2023, controversies and street demonstrations erupted, prompting the Lagos State government to order the exhumation of his remains and initiate a coroner’s inquest.
On Instagram, Omowunmi, the singer’s widow, expressed her anguish over the challenges she and her son have been enduring. She disclosed the ordeal they faced prior to Mohbad’s demise and the ongoing threats they encounter.
In her social media posts, Omowunmi pleaded with Nigerians for assistance, emphasising their vulnerability to the same fate that befell Mohbad.
She highlighted the unsettling situation wherein Mohbad’s father, Mr. Aloba, who allegedly pressured them into parenthood, is now insisting on a DNA test for Liam, their child.
